People love good food and like to drink their favorites
Always ask your guests up front what their favorite drinks are, it helps you to do your groceries and you know what they really want to drink after they tried your themed cocktail.
No Party without food or snacks. Depending on the lenghth and time of the Party never! (never!) leave your guests without something they can sink their teeth into. This is the part to be extra creative. Which snacks complement your theme and can be prepared a few days before.
Make sure you have enough, it is beyond sad if the drinks are gone and there is too little to chew on. You don't want your guests to visit MacDonalds on their way back. If you are very sure of a themed snack or drink you are gonna serve, please put it in the invite. Make them curious. For example: "I will welcome you with a very special Disco cocktail especially made for you"
